1. Who we are and these terms

Pawlio is operated by Pawlio ID Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

By creating an account or using app.pawlioid.com ("Pawlio", "the service") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Pawlio is, and what it is not

Pawlio is a tool that helps you organise and store your pet's identity and records and share selected information with people you choose, such as vets, sitters, breeders, rescues, insurers or a future owner.

This platform helps you organise your pet's records. It does not replace your legal responsibility to keep your pet's microchip details updated with the official microchip database.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or over to use Pawlio. Keep your login details secure and do not share them; you are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Tell us promptly at hello@pawlioid.com if you think someone has used your account without permission. We recommend turning on two-factor authentication in Account, then Security.

4. Your content and its accuracy

You keep ownership of the information and documents you add to Pawlio. You are responsible for their accuracy and for having the right to upload and share them.

You give us the limited permission we need to store, process and display your content so that we can provide the service to you. You must not upload anything unlawful, infringing, or that is not yours to share.

5. Acceptable use

Please use Pawlio responsibly. You must not:

• try to access other people's data or accounts;
• scrape, probe, or attempt to bypass the security of the service;
• upload malware or anything designed to disrupt the service;
• use share links or public profiles to harass, deceive or harm anyone.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

6. Sharing, public profiles and ownership transfer

Share links and public profiles only show the information you choose, so you are responsible for what you make visible.

The ownership transfer feature moves the Pawlio digital record to another person. It does not transfer legal ownership of the animal, and it does not update the official microchip database. Both parties should update the official registry separately.

7. Availability

We work hard to keep Pawlio available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features. Please keep your own copies of important documents; Pawlio is a convenient home for your records, not your only copy of them.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of, or inability to access, your records, for indirect or consequential loss, or for any harm arising from your reliance on information in the service or from a lost or missing pet. Pawlio does not provide veterinary, legal or insurance advice.

9. Price

Pawlio is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid plans in future, we will make the terms clear before you are charged.

10. Suspension and closing your account

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or where we are required to by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email. If you keep using Pawlio after a change, you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
